About Mindfulness In Reading

If you have stumbled across this site on the internet, you have probably been searching for help of some form or are curious as to whether mindfulness is right for you. Hopefully, you will find the information here that you need in order to make an informed choice as to a way forward.

One of the reasons we started Mindfulness in Reading is because of the gap between the provision of mindfulness and the level of interest or need.

Moreover, we have increasingly heard from people who have not been able to access mindfulness for one reason or another. Despite their interest and potential benefit to their lives.

This has been the starting point for Mindfulness in Reading. Our intention is to start bridging this gap by bringing mindfulness sessions to the public. With the hope of allowing more people access to the mindfulness training that has so benefited our clients and ourselves.

Since then, we have heard more and more from people struggling to access therapy. And have been growing to meet more and more of the need. We are a team of experienced therapists with a wide range of training, skills, and experience.

Meet the Team

Within my clinical work, I use approaches approved by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) or otherwise supported by a scientific evidence base. My central models of therapy are CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Mindfulness-Based Intervention. I also have a strong interest in CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy).

My areas of special interest and experience include PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, OCD and difficulties with self-esteem. I also work with individuals with physical health symptoms, or complicated grief, to facilitate the process of adjustment. I aim to support clients to build on their strengths, as well as to learn new skills, to overcome life challenges.
